"Pykrete"

If anyone can build one large tank in northern Alaska and fill it with the water and pykrete then it would not freeze. Pykrete is blogged as a building material and the conversation has seeded many more interesting ideas such as constructing pykrete with.

It is called as pykrete with due respect to Pyke. pykrete could be called as the thermoelectric coolers, but they lack in efficiency. There are many tests which have shown that the material results have strength similar to concrete.

Pykrete is a compound material which is made of about 14 percent sawdust or other form of wood pulp and the rest of the 86 percent is ice by weight. It was used during The World War II by Geoffrey Pyke to the Royal Navy as a contender material for making a huge, unsinkable aircraft carrier.
