The Fastest Mammal On Land

The Fastest animal on the land in the world is cheetah. And it is also the fastest mammal on earth. The body of the cheetah is built for speed. It has large nostrils, lungs, liver, heart and adrenals which gives the cheetah a tremendous physical reaction.

The long slender body of Cheetah is flexible and curls like a whip for huge bursts of acceleration. Special paw pads and nonretractible claws give excellent traction. Cheetah can accelerate from 0 - 45 mph in two seconds and top speeds of 71 mph can be maintained for up to 300 yards. The fastest cheetahs have been clocked at over 90 mph.

the Fastest Mammal in water is Dall porpoises which can swim up to 35 miles per hour, Fastest Bird is Peregrine falcons can dive toward the earth at more than 200 miles per hour, Fastest Bird on land are ostriches running up to 45 miles per hour and also the biggest, weighing in at 345 pounds and Fastest Fish is Sailfish can swim up to 68 miles per hour, and the fastest insect is the cockroach.
